App: Smartemis Workbook
SMARTEMIS LIMITED provides Smartemis Workbook (the “App”) as a personal workbook for candidates in its short post-graduate cohorts. This notice describes the information the App keeps and your control over it.
Information held about candidates by the company itself is described in the candidate data statement on smartemis.online.
Using the App
Smartemis Workbook follows a twelve-week cohort: the week-by-week grid, the reading for each week, the word range of each written piece, returned feedback, supervision meetings with their milestones and the notional hours of a programme.
It is a personal record: what it shows comes from the entries you make on your own device.
Services Used by the App
The App includes these Google components, which are subject to Google's privacy terms:
- Google Play Services — lets Android install and update the App and verify that it came from our release. Details: Google Privacy Policy.
- Google Fonts — provided the type used in the workbook, bundled with the App so the text renders from local files. Details: Google Fonts privacy FAQ.
Data Kept on Your Device
Your entries are saved in the App's private storage on your device, namely:
- the cohort start point and start date, and the weeks marked as done;
- reading items with their pages and the pages read, and reading sessions with the date, pages and minutes;
- word-range plans: the target, section shares and drafted counts;
- feedback records: marks by criterion, dates and whether a mark is provisional or confirmed;
- supervision records: meeting dates and lengths, agreed actions and milestone dates;
- the hours calculator inputs and logged study sessions by strand;
- your language setting.
These entries remain on your device between sessions and are not shared with the company.
Deleting Your Data
You can change or delete any reading, plan, mark or meeting record from the screen where it appears. The data statement sheet, opened from the information mark on the home screen, removes every entry together and can restore the sample cohort. Uninstalling the App deletes its storage from your device.
Use by Children
Smartemis Workbook is designed for post-graduate study and is intended for people aged 16 and over.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
Any update to this notice will be made on this page, which always carries the version in force.
